I have three children. All three are very different, their looks, their attitudes, the way they react. One of the biggest differences is how sporty they are, their approach to competition and the things that motivate them.
Last weekend we went to watch the ironman-distance triathlon competition in Copenhagen, the Challenge Copenhagen. The day before the "real" competition, Challenge offered an opportunity for kids aged 6 - 13 to try out a triathlon on short distances. My children, age 9, 11 and 13 thought it could be fun.... My 9 and 13-year old are slim and sporty and loves ball sport, sports involving running and they don't mind physical contact like in soccer. I think they both have a healthy self-confidence. They win games, they lose some, and first and foremost: they have fun!
