Have you ever tried to listen to the signals of your body when you have had a bit too much fast food and empty calories? And I mean really LISTENED, not looked away or purposely put your fingers in your ears to ignore the increasing dissatisfaction of your body. For me the signals are unmistakeable. If I don't think about what I eat, the couch starts glueing itself to my body, and I am too tired to do anything. Then I feel inefficient, and that to me is one of the worst feelings, because it makes me feel useless. Now this isn't quantum physics, so of course I can figure out that if the body reacts like that to negative input, it will react in the opposite way to healthy and nutritious food. And there you are...! If I think about what I eat, make sure I get all the right vitamin groups, eat low-fat and with lots af fibre, my body rewards right away me with more energy. More energy results in a higher level of activity, and that again means that I feel efficient.
